I have travelled to Europe and marveled at the colors and textures of the old masters paintings. I always loved the hues of the Mona Lisa and at one time tried to edit a photo with the same colors. Had I know this trick below, it would have been much easier than my painstaking effort.
I took the portrait above and combined the colors with the Mona Lisa. It could probably use some more tweaking, but as you can see from the before and after pics, it’s a pretty good representation of the colors. The key when doing this step is to have both images open in Photoshop, which the instructions linked below failed to point out.
